Cafe Dota - Finca Los Nisperos

Finca Las Nubes is a collective of smallholder coffee producers located in the highlands of Dota, part of Costa Rica’s renowned Los Santos region. The association is made up of 65 producers—15 women and 50 men—who have been cultivating coffee in these mountains for over a decade. Their shared goal is to preserve the region’s rich volcanic soils, promote sustainable farming practices, and continue Dota’s legacy of producing exceptional high-altitude coffees.

The farms are nestled between 1,600 and 2,100 meters above sea level, where cool mountain air and consistent rainfall create ideal growing conditions. The primary varieties grown include Caturra, Catuai, and Villa Sarchí. After careful hand-picking, the coffee is fully washed and sun-dried on raised beds and patios to enhance clarity and sweetness in the cup.
